Basildon Local Plan
Published: 14 March 2018
The Town Council were very disappointed at the decision of the Infrastructure, Growth & Development Committee on 7th December where Councillors recommended to progress with the alternative option for sites H20-23 in South West Billericay (now known as site H18) causing the loss of an area of Frith Wood ancient woodland. The Town Council has written to Basildon Council raising some questions regarding the decision and expressing our concerns.
Both Cllr Devlin and Cllr Mitchelmore attended the Infrastructure, Growth & Development meeting on 13th March with the intention of addressing the Committee about Frith Wood. Unfortunately they were unable to do so as the meeting was cancelled due to the large number of residents that were unable to access the venue.
The meeting will now take place on Monday 19th March, 7pm at the Basildon Sporting Village. This is another opportunity for you to make your voice heard regarding the future of development in Billericay.
