Celebration of Lights Concert
On Saturday the Town Council held its annual celebration of lights concert at Sun Corner. The crowds were entertained by High Voltage Big Band, choirs from St Peters and Mayflower schools and performances from Dance Steps Academy and Helen Arber Performing Arts.
Our citizen and young citizen of the year Kay Baker and Jasmine Regan were our guests of honour for the switching on of the Christmas Lights. They were joined on stage by the Town Crier and Father Christmas.
Cllr Jim Devlin, Chairman of the Town Council thanked everyone who took part in the celebrations and expressed gratitude to all the service organisations that helped make the event run smoothly especially Billericay Lions, 2393 (Billericay) Squadron Air Cadets and the Rotary Club of Billericay Mayflower.
The Town Council would also like to thank all those residents that came out to support this community event and watch the fantastic performances from our local schools and groups.
