The Chantry Centre is a new purpose built community space. Facilities include a main hall with a kitchen/servery, three meeting rooms, Council meeting chamber and a staff office.
The MAIN HALL is designed as a multi-use space. Situated on the ground floor with access to toilets, accessible toilet and baby changing room. There is also a storage facility and an integrated kitchen and servery. It is fully air conditioned and has AV equipment including a projector, drop down screen and audio equipment. A portable stage is also available.
There are three MEETING ROOMS of different sizes ranging from 20 to 33 square metres which are aimed at small to medium sized groups for whom the hall would be too large. These could include business meetings, community group, charity or social meetings.
The COUNCIL CHAMBER is a meeting room for public Council meetings and is designed to encourage easier public viewing and more active participation. It will also be used for working parties and other regular meetings that Councillors have, as well as being available for hire when not in use by the Council.
