Borough & County Council Services

Billericay has three Councils that deliver services to the town.

Billericay Town Council is a large Parish Council and is there to provide the extras that make Billericay the place it is and different from other parts of the District. It has local knowledge and thus can influence decisions taken by the other Councils. It provides things such as Hanging Baskets, Christmas Lights, the Public Toilet and Play equipment for children using a relatively limited budget.

Essex County Council has responsibility for the bigger things such as Highways and Education that need to be run on a County wide basis. Basildon Borough Council is the District Council. Councils at this level are responsible for things such as Street Cleaning and Waste Collection as well as Planning and Social Housing.

Most issues can now be reported on line at both Essex County Council and Basildon Borough Council.
