Chantry Centre Hire

Following the relaxation of Covid restrictions the Chantry Centre opened its doors for hirers in May and since then bookings have risen steadily each month for both commercial and community/volunteer-based groups as they began once again meeting in person.

The Town Council are especially pleased by the number of community activities focusing on tackling social isolation including the Good Companions Club (one of our returning Day Centre groups), a “Bump and Baby” coffee morning for new parents and a Sunday Matinee film show from the Billericay Community Cinema.

During the summer holidays Active Essex delivered sessions for young people, and groups including the Horticultural Society, Photofold Camera Club and the Gone Too Soon Bereavement Support group have become regular users.
