Centenary of Billericay War Memorial

Saturday October 16th was the 100th Centenary of the War Memorial in Billericay. The commemorative service was attended by Cllr Jim Devlin and Cllr Jo Clark.

The event happened as a result of the hard work of Karen Dennis of the Western Front Association assisted by her husband Stephen and members of other associations in Billericay. An exhibition was held in the Chantry Centre in the morning followed by a service at St. Mary Magdalen led by Revd Paul Carr and ending with a wreath laying ceremony at the War Memorial.
