Billericay Team Ministry Foodbank

The Billericay Foodbank opens on Tuesday afternoons (2-4pm) at St John’s Church, Outwood Common and can receive donations then or on Thursdays between 1.00 and 2.00.

Thanks to the generosity of churches across Billericay, individual members of the public, schools, community groups and shoppers at Waitrose, Sainsbury’s Local and the Co-op in Queen’s Park, we receive donations on a regular basis. We always need tinned foods; meat, vegetables, fruit and fish are especially welcome. We have lots of baked beans and pasta!! Donations of personal hygiene products, toiletries and nappies are also helpful.

We are in touch with local schools, the housing office in Outwood Common, doctors’ surgeries and other social and welfare organisations, asking them to let people know about the Foodbank. We also use social media outlets and are developing a website. Over the year or so we have been open we have seen an increasing number of people benefitting from the support we offer.
